Carmichael woman reported missing | News
Title (Max 100 Charaters)
CARMICHAEL, CA - The disappearance of a Carmichael woman last seen on security camera video at an Indian casino Wednesday night is being called highly unusual by the Sacramento County Sheriff's Department.
Deputy Jason Ramos said Melodie Benton, 55, is considered at risk because no one has heard from her and that is very out of character with her usual behavior.
Benton is Native-American, 5 feet 3 inches tall and about 150 pounds. She has long, straight, black hair and brown eyes.
When seen at the Red Hawk Casino in Shingle Springs about 8 p.m. Wednesday, Benton wore a bright green vest over a black turtleneck top and a black hoodie with white trim. She appeared to be alone, Ramos said.
Benton's car is a red and silver 2001 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, California license plate number 4XOS962. There's a black Tasmanian devil decal on the driver-side rear quarter panel.
Benton is also known as Melodie Rowan.
Anyone knowing the whereabouts of Benton/Rowan was asked to call the sheriff's department at (916) 874-5115.
